Collegians and alumnae alike applaud Lori Hobart, NN, on receiving the Outstanding Greek Women in Leadership Award from the Drexel University Panhellenic Council for 2006. The award honors “exceptional alumnae … who excel in their profession and community, as well as act as a role model for all sororities in Greek life.” True to the spirit of the award, Lori excelled as a collegian and continues to excel as an alumna, and in her career and the community. On the national level, she is currently the chairman of the Housing Oversight Committee. She’s also an active member of Philadelphia Metro Alumnae Chapter. Nu Nu Chapter nominated Lori for the award. After the award ceremony, the Nu Nu women presented Lori with a new pearl and ruby badge as a thank-you for her years of service to the chapter, which included stints as chapter advisor and housing advisor. As an alumna, Lori served Drexel’s Panhellenic Housing Association as secretary, president, and live-in resident director of the Panhellenic House. As a collegian, she was named “Panhellenic Woman of the Year,” 1988–1989, and also served as chapter scholarship chairperson. Lori’s community activities include serving on the planning committee of a 5K run to raise money for scholarships for Drexel students and working at a national historic site in Philadelphia. Professionally, Lori is a royalty accountant for an entertainment company. She holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in International Business. |
