The following collegiate chapters in Alpha Sigma Alpha’s District 2 are looking for a few good people to fill spots on their advisory boards. Won’t you consider sharing a bit of your time and expertise?

Delta Iota

The Delta Iota Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha is now 36 years old and is growing and improving every year, said former VP of Alumnae & Heritage Katie Weinstein. The chapter currently has 112 members, 52 from the spring of 2008 pledge class—their largest and most successful recruitment to date!

At the Alpha Sigma Alpha Leadership Conference in New Mexico this past summer, the chapter was rewarded with a recruitment award for being one of the only chapters to not only meet but exceed our recruitment standards, and the Seek award for all-around attainment of high standing and accomplishment.

ΔΙ holds two philanthropy events at the University of Delaware campus every year: "Are You Smarter Than an Alpha Sig?" and "ASA Greek Runway." Both are well-received, with many other chapters participating, and successfully raise very generous donations for our philanthropies, the S. June Smith Center and Special Olympics. The sisters of ASA are dedicated to on-campus involvement and support, participate in countless events each semester, and remain in great standing with the university.

The chapter would like to recruit additional advisors this semester:

  • Chapter advisor to work closely with the chapter, executive board, and other advisors; attend chapter and standards meetings; and assist whenever needed.
